myrtle beach dining
for my fellow tourists mapping out their next trip to my FAVORITE vacation spot ever, please look to these stellar restaurants for the best & most delicious experiences. there was no shortage of restaurants in the area making our departure all the more saddening. we loved our time so much that we’ve already booked our second trip summer of 2023. 🥹simply could not get enough of this area and the VAST selection of places to dine at. if I lived here I just don’t think you’d ever be able to make me stop with the reviewing.
wicked tuna

HIGHLIGHTS: Expansive Menu, Seafood Bests, Views on Pier, Live Music | 8.5/10
a quick 30-minute walk to the pier & a great first night stop @ the renowned Wicked Tuna. our meals were fabulous, perfect for sharing across the table & sushi to meet everyone's preferences. live music playing in the corner, fabulous service & a beach-wide staple for your stay in Myrtle.
the oyster rock waterfront seafood

HIGHLIGHTS: Views, Outdoor Seating & Bonfire, Unbelievable Food, Reasonable Prices | 10/10
hands down the best meal we had in 'myrtle,' but in reality, in North Carolina. take a quick 45-minute drive away from the beach and experience the amazement of the oyster rock. I have never experienced better service, better vibes OR better entrees. an absolute must. note: reservations are recommended, especially in busy season.
hook & barrel

HIGHLIGHTS: Location, Ambiance, Special Occasion, Seafood | 8.5/10
perfect in & outdoor seating with gorgeous sea-themed aesthetics. sources the most sustainable food/ products along with the most environmentally friendly cooking practices so you can eat with ease & a good conscience. you must order the classic bourbon bacon and bring an appetite for top-notch seafood dishes in not only taste but appearance.
blueberry's grill

HIGHLIGHTS: #1 Pancake House, #1 Breakfast & Brunch, Best Margaritas, Must Go | 10/10
the countless reviews you'll find online are just a small testament to the high level service & food offered by Blueberry's Grill. we went from #28 on the seating list to #1 in just fifteen minutes. despite every table at full capacity, our service was impeccably speedy & accommodating, full of recommendations. we all devoured our plates and have a 100% chance return rate for our next visit.
joe's bar and grill

HIGHLIGHTS: Casual Fine Dining, Steakhouse, Raccoon Sitings, Cabin-Feel | 7/10
the vibes here range across every room you enter - one minute you're in a hunting lodge, the next you're in an intimately lit screened porch looking over a beautiful marsh and visiting raccoons. the menu is HUGE and has a little something for everyone. the wine list was incredible and well-worth every penny. we heard glowing recommendations on their steak(s) for all the right reasons - delish. seafood ranged and was a little more questionable.
the sea captain's house

HIGHLIGHTS: Coastal Views, Top Notch Seafood & Service, Encompassing of the Myrtle Beach 'Feel' | 7.5/10
perfect in, outdoor, and patio seating with the most coastal/harbor-ish vibe that makes the experience all the more fitting. a vast selection of seafood specialties & a staple in myrtle. do yourself a favor and make a reservation in advance.
pier 14

HIGHLIGHTS: Pier Dining, The Best Shrimp Around, The Perfect Start to a Perfect Trip | 10/10
somehow the first and cheapest meal of our trip became the highlight of the weekend. get ready for a bucket sized rumrunner (or two), the best bang bang shrimp of your life and photographers who won't let you say no. the taste of this bang bang will forever haunt me, literally.
greg norman's australian grille

HIGHLIGHTS: The 'Naples of Myrtle Beach,' Unbeatable Views, Steakhouse Ambiance | 8/10
the perfect spot to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday with a handwritten card from Greg Norman himself. sitting outside is an absolute must and completely made the experience as we watched boats pass by. this was our first departure from the 'touristy' region of Myrtle and we loved and appreciated every second of it. if you can look past the kangaroo option on the menu, the food was very good but in truth, it's all about the ambiance.
beach bums

HIGHLIGHTS: Beach Views, Bang for your Buck, Hole in the Wall Dining | 7/10
we had so much fun bumming around beach bums, pushing two tables together to play ten rounds of tens and drink some watermelon vodka redbulls. the perfect price and vibe for a day on the beach and a quick bite at sunset.
banditos

HIGHLIGHTS: Food Babies Galore, Nachos to Die For, Prime Location to Party | 8.5/ 10
be prepared for the biggest food baby of your life and to not want to eat a single other thing for the rest of the week. this place stuffed us (because it was literally so good) and had some of the best mexican food around. it's right in the middle of everything and the perfect place to grab an app to pregame before heading next door to where the party is really at.
lulu's cafe

HIGHLIGHTS: Diner-Style Dining, Breakfast Options Galore, Prime Location | 6/ 10
truth be told, I don't like breakfast. that's also why I ordered a grilled cheese instead. the only person who dislikes breakfast more than me is my mom & she ordered bang bang shrimp (AGAIN). aesthetically, this place was adorable with in and outdoor seating. the service was friendly and the wait was LONG. while it isn't somewhere I'd write home about, i'm sure it's a solid stop for most locals and a budget-friendly breakfast for large groups
